Letters from American citizensJune 13, 2011
Dear Scott,
I just wanted to write and say thank you for Wyatt’s e-mails and super cool gifts. You did not have to do that but I know he really appreciates it, they have made his day. Thank you so much for your kindness and emotional support for Wyatt who has had to deal with some very difficult times since I’ve been gone. He is a very kind, sweet and special kid but I may be just a little prejudice. It is not fun to be over here and I miss my family, but I serve to support them and keep them safe along with all Americans. I have a gift and donation for you and your cause to raffle or what ever you think would be the best. I am having several American flags which will be flown over Afghanistan in a fighter jet and accompanied with a certificate stating the squadron, date, time and mission number from the pilot who flew with the flags.
To give so selflessly of your time as a veteran and now a civilian for such a worthy cause speaks volumes of your integrity, character and dedication not only to your country but those that have sacrificed for our great nation. It’s because of individuals like you who make our country so great. More importantly, I want to thank you for being who you are, which is someone who all Americans, and especially youngsters, can look up too. People like you are one of the reasons so many serve our incredible country. I just want you to know that I admire you and I hope my boys grow up to be as good of a person as you. Keep up the GREAT work and don't ever think it's not appreciated because it is. I want you to know that you are making a difference. Once again THANK YOU!
Best Regards,
Paul Bellus
